Organic Prints

I was commissioned via Dot Art Liverpool to create a set of A0 sized prints to go on display at The Plaza in St Pauls Square in Liverpool.

I start my process with swooshes of ink or paint, creating textural organic shapes on large paper.

Print making is one of my preferred disciplines. I love using lino, and enjoy hand cutting my own shapes. I also often make prints and textures from found objects.

My process allows me to be flexible. If I have the space I can either create larger scale originals, or transfer my textures to a digital format for limited edition prints. They work beautifully as a set or as a focal piece.

If you’re interested in an original piece or limited edition print, please get in touch for more details.

Experience

I have been working in the creative sector since studying graphic design and illustration at LJMU. I started out painting murals and attending graffiti events – working primarily with spray paint at that time. I would then progress to painting large scale corporate murals once I graduated and began a placement at Nonconform – where I still work today. In my university days, I was often told by tutors that ‘you would never work in an agency’

Hilariously I hated computers whilst at uni, and preferred making everthing from scratch. Even now I try to be as hands on as possible, but obviously using a computer is inevitable with the job I do.
