Sea of Hair

The hair theme makes an appearance in lots of my work. This is because I love Art Nouveau artworks, which often feature long haired whimsical figures. I also find it deeply therapeutic to draw these intricate linear swirls.

I often use fine line pen to create these intricate drawings – which can be quite therapeutic. Having said that, blowing these lines up large scale on a wall is equally as satisfying.

Experience

I have been working in the creative sector since studying graphic design and illustration at LJMU. I started out painting murals and attending graffiti events – working primarily with spray paint at that time. I would then progress to painting large scale corporate murals once I graduated and began a placement at Nonconform – where I still work today. In my university days, I was often told by tutors that ‘you would never work in an agency’

Hilariously I hated computers whilst at uni, and preferred making everthing from scratch. Even now I try to be as hands on as possible, but obviously using a computer is inevitable with the job I do.

Disciplines
Found on my hard drive from quite a few years ago! I'd forgotten all about this. This was from fashion illustration job for a well know establishment - sadly they 'changed the brief' and rejected them at the last minute. These things happen in the creative world, but we move on. I’m sure I can use it for something else. πŸ˜ŽπŸ™ƒ
